It is a great honour to be the Captain of Donaghadee Golf Club 2024/25 and one that I don’t take lightly. Donaghadee Golf Club has been at the heart of our community for over a century and this our 125th Anniversary so on behalf of all our members and staff welcome.

I am sure that you will enjoy playing one of North Down’s most prestigious clubs. I can assure you that you will have a warm and friendly welcome to DGC from both staff and members and I am sure you will return time and time again.

Club Captain Neil Bailey

I am delighted and honoured to be Lady Captain of Donaghadee Golf club in 2025/26. Our 125-year-old, championship course, located in the historic town of Donaghadee, enjoys stunning views over the Copeland Islands and Irish Sea.

Having been an active member of the golf club since 2009, I have immensely enjoyed the
friendly and competitive side of golf; as well as being a keen supporter of ‘Girls into Golf’,
the Junior Programme, the Ladies’ Winter Friendly Team, and of course the Annual Bridge Drive.

I am looking forward to continuing my support for these important club initiatives. I can assure members and visitors alike of a warm welcome at Donaghadee Golf Club, both on the course and in the clubhouse. I wish all competitors well for the year ahead.

Lady Captain Carolyn Minnis

Message From Our Club Presidents’

‘As President of Donaghadee Golf Club I extend a warm welcome to our Club website. It is a great honour for me to be President of Donaghadee Golf Club and I look forward to enjoying Golf and social engagement with our members and visitors throughout my term in office.

Our 18 hole course is situated on the coast road approximately 6 miles from Bangor, County Down and enjoys superb views over the Irish Sea to Scotland. Over the past few years we have invested significantly on our course and short game Practise Academy resulting in very favourable comments from our members and visitors.

Our professionals shop is well stocked and it’s staff will be delighted to help you with your golfing needs, while after your game you can enjoy a drink and meal in our Clubhouse, again enjoying the beautiful views out over the Irish Sea. A great way to round of the perfect days golf.’

– Club President, Jeff Aiken

‘I am honoured to serve as Lady President of Donaghadee Golf Club. I promise to do my best to support Council in it’s bid to make Donaghadee Golf Club prosper once again. I also promise to promote the good standing of the golf club wherever I go. Best of luck to all our teams and as James (our Course Manager) says in his daily message “enjoy your golf.” Best wishes’

– Lady President, Joan Groves
